And now we wait...

This is our third go 'round....twice for older kid, and now youngest. I'd say it's a tad too early...my guess is sometime after the 15th of Dec. Of course I REALLY want to be wrong!

My DS found out Xmas eve...make or break but remember this...it takes a certain individual to even apply to the CGA, stand proud one way or the other
Happy Thanksgiving

I keep going to the Bears Den to see if the last box is checked... Cadet Candidate Evaluation Board Review Complete! I wonder if they update often?

Was tough to receive a "wait list" status a couple days before Christmas... Tough timing. Good luck.

FYI for those interested:

Logged into D's account and clicked on the FAQ knowledge base at the bottom right of the page, and I picked application status under the quick links, and the answer said that for EA applicants the emails were going out on
December 24th. Hope that helps and calms some nerves:)

I double checked, and the wording actually states that decisions would be mailed BY the 24th. So maybe some will hear sooner....here's hoping :thumb:

Good Luck Shellz and all those looking for a nice Christmas Present on the 24th!!

I just returned from my visit to the USCGA and I was told by admissions they would be meeting this week. Maybe some if us will hear earlier.

DD too !

My DD got a phone call last night giving her a "heads-up" that her letter of appointment is on its way !

Congratulations

Congratulations to those of you getting the big news.

Parents, don't forget to join other 2019 Parents at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/USCGAPARENTS2019/

You will find the friendships and networking that comes from that group to be a tremendous asset as you begin this incredible roller coaster ride as a CGA Parent.

Another one :))

Our son just got notified digitally a few minutes ago, with official letter and updated status already posted to his Bear's Den.

Proud parents, Class of 2019 (RHP, Baseball)

Welcome aboard!

Parents, along with the 2019 Parent's page that Grevar has listed, there are two other FB pages to be aware of (broad hint). One is for parents only at
https://www.facebook.com/groups/CGA.PA/

and the other is for families, relatives and so on at
https://www.facebook.com/groups/206184829425643/

Also, you will see pictures on these pages from a CGA alumnus named Paul Duddy. You will learn to love him. He will post pictures of your offspring just when you need to see them most.

In all seriousness, you, not just your cadet2B, are joining a very tightly knit family, both as parents of a coastie, but as parents of a cadet at CGA. We put two older siblings through three colleges. There is simply no comparison to the activity of the parents, and their closeness and support. Again, welcome aboard!
