SSgt David Thatcher, the Engineer/Gunner of crew #7 on the Doolittle Raid in 1942 died today in Missoula, Montana at the age of 94. Thatchers aircraft "The Ruptured Duck" was piloted by LT Ted Lawson who wrote "30 Seconds Over Tokyo ". His death leaves as the last surviving raider Doolittles copilot LtCol Dick Cole (age 100).
