My boss at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren swore by Captain Billy's! Had many a great lunch there. Afternoon productivity afterwards? Not so much.I haven't seen Yellowfin listed. Great food and great views on the scenic South River just south of DTA.
Went here night before I-Day on a local’s recommendation to get away from DTA and it was great. About 15 min from the yard by car.
DW recommends Captain Billy’s in Pope’s Creek for the very best in Maryland Blue Crab - her family has been going there for over 50 years and nothing compares. Too far for PPW and don’t wear whites.
.... the #104 [w/ Rye] ... Chick-N-Ruths
Per my DH, who oh-so-casually, mentioned tonight over dinner, “one of those Brazilian meat places opened up over at the Mall.”
A little research on my part shows indeed yes, there is now a Rodizio’s at the Annapolis Mall, as “Westfield Shopping Center Annapolis” is locally called.
I am familiar with Fogo de Chão in Baltimore and DC, have heard if this chain but not eaten there. Reviews welcome.

During CVW in April 2019, we went to Chuy's only because we had not seen one since we left Austin many years ago. It wasn't as bad as I remember but it could also be that we just don't have good Mexican food where we currently live. Anyway I see that it has since closed it's doors. Either way, it was a trip down memory lane for us. We will just have to find good Mexican Food and good Margaritas for dinner before I-Day 2020! Any ideas?
That restaurant space hosted a Chili’s for many years, it closed, then Chuy’s for just two. Too much competition.
A locals’ favorite that has lasted many years, with dishes from various parts of Mexico as well as Spanish ones, is a strip mall location called Jalapeño’s. Everything is very good quality. The owner was a well-known chef, and this is where he cooks his favorite food. We had two sponsor mids from the same family, first-generation Mexican-American, from Texas. When their parents came to visit, this is where the entire family would go for a meal out. When we go, I indulge in all my favorite tapas from Spain. Reservations recommended; it’s busy.

A hole in the wall with dishes from Mexico, Central and South America is Sin Fronteras Cafe. It’s another locals’ favorite.

Chain-wise, the Famous Dave’s BBQ was razed and Uncle Julio’s put in a few years ago. It seems to be popular.
Many of our drinking-age sponsor mids like the chain Paladar.
Annapolis is not a Mexican food mecca! There are other places, but I’ve listed our two favorites. I worked for two TX-headquartered firms, and I know Tex-Mex from dozens of trips to local favorites in San Antonio and Ft. Worth. I still miss the Cal-Mex from SoCal tours of duty. I like holes in the wall best.
Much thanks for the info. Besides making me hungry it also lead me to wonder how many mids a sponsor can have? My DD has accepted her offer of appointment for Class of 2024 and I still have so many questions.
Hmmmm....wonder if there is bacon? #MeatSweatsChurrascarias are amazing — if you love red meat! That’s the bottom line: you must love red meat. They’re pricey, but all-you-can-eat affairs and you can sit there as long as you want. Also plenty of veggies and other items at the buffet, but did I mention it’s all about the meat?
