*This is my first post, just registered...I've been lurking for a while.*
How do I fit in?
I am a junior in high school, and I'm a guy (for CFA stuff)
I was accepted into the Summer Seminar.
------------------
Here's what I have so far:
Academic Performance
GPA: 3.94
Class Rank: 31
Class Size: 792
Test Scores:
SAT Verbal/Critical Reading: 660
SAT Math: 670
SAT Writing: 670
ACT Composite: 34
Academic Achievements
-Superintendent’s Honor Roll every semester since entering High School
-Member of the National Honor Society
-Academic GPA of 4.0
-Taking Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus BC, AP Physics B, and AP Language during Junior Year
-Scholar-Athlete Award (Lettering Varsity Athlete and GPA of 4.0)
Athletic Achievements
-Varsity Cross Country Runner Sophomore Year
-Varsity Cross Country Runner Junior Year
-2008 Track and Field Best Distance Runner of the Year Award
-Mile Time of 4:52
-Three Mile Time of 15:48
-Scholar-Athlete Award Sophomore Year(Lettering Varsity Athlete and GPA of 4.0)
-Scholar-Athlete Award Junior Year (Lettering Varsity Athlete and GPA of 4.0)
-Lettered as Varsity Athlete Sophomore Year
-Lettered as Varsity Athlete Junior Year
PLUS Community Service & Leadership positions. (Too hard to explain well enough to post here, sorry)
------------------
I'm most worried about the CFA...so far I haven't done a full dry run yet, but my bests are:
Pull-Ups: 8
Sit-Ups: 53
Push-Ups: 40
Mile: 4:52 (not too worried)
Any tips on the basketball throw, shuttle run, pull ups, push ups, and sit ups??
Even better, any good workouts that I can include that aren't insanely time-consuming that I can do after track? (Even better if they include swimming).
Thank you so much, this site has proven to be an excellent source for information.
------------------
P.S. If you all want this to become a permanent "Am I Qualified?" Thread, I have no problem being the guinea pig.
