Hey all, I'm Shan, and my son CJ has been accepted to TX A&M for aerospace engineering, and we're on pins and needles waiting to see if the Navy or Air Force thinks he's officer material worthy of a very expensive ROTC scholarship. We think that he'll go TAMU no matter what, so I'm stressed for us as well as stressed for him - and I wasn't even fully on board for the military commitment at first!

I never thought I'd add his social sec.# to the six million numerical sequences stored in my head, but I can hammer it out in 2 second flat now.

The wait... is killing me.

Welcome to the forum and the long and winding road! You sound just like my mom! I am hoping to study aerospace engineering at the AFA but I am also accepted to Georgia Tech and hoping (actually praying!!) for AFROTC or NROTC. The most recent NROTC boards are apparently out but AFROTC meets in 10 days. Good luck to you guys!

Hi to a Texas Mom!

Hello Shan, I am a North Texas mom and wanted to cheer you on as you await word from the academies. My brother-in-law, sister and nephew all attended A&M and loved it. The gents were heavy into the Corp. Great school. Hope all your son's dreams come out true.
