Hi Mr. Mullen, I am in the AFROTC and next year will be my second year in the program. I do not plan on accepting a scholarship from the program, so my DoDMERB physical won't occur until next year.

I do not have asthma, but six years ago I was treated for what my doctor called "asthmatic bronchitis". My doctor suspected at one point that I might actually have asthma, but I never followed up that visit because I got over it completely and have had no asthma-like symptoms since. (I was 13 years old at the time).

Should I be concerned about getting a waiver for this? Or does this not count as "a history of asthma"? What should I do?

For what it's worth, my PFA scores reflect that I am healthy.

I did some more digging with my medical records and discovered that this incident does qualify as a "history of asthma" on paper.

That said, are there any measures I could take that would increase the likelihood of having my waiver granted?

I believe you sent me an email already. I will reply tomorrow. If you didn't send the 2nd posting below, pls do so.:thumb:
