The New Jersey Field Force has done another outstanding job getting great New Jersey candidates offers to USMA. New Jersey is highly competitive and sends many kids to WP every year. Here is a quote copied from our most recent parents newsletter:

Another rising class of NJ cadet candidates and their supportive families are coalescing into the Class of '26,
It looks like yet another record year for NJ appointments, with 83 offers to NJ
cadet candidates, this class is looking to be the biggest yet, and that doesn't even
include the current USMAPS cadet candidates, who will 'come down the hill' to join
the Class of '26 following their finals.
Over 61 NJ cadet candidates have accepted their
appointments, with about a month to go.

Shouldn’t it be *about* the same every year? Are you saying in last years, spots have gone unfilled?

And/or couldn’t this year be an outcome of cadets that left USMA?

The MOC slots don't change but its the additional appointments like Presidential as well as ROTC, NWL, etc that can and do change.

That should not be the case. If an MOC "reuses" a slot for "26" because someone from "25" dropped then when "29" is being formed, there might not be a slot for anyone in the district to get nominations that year .

Excellent - Congratulations. I am Ex NJ. While now North TX we are also pretty high on appointments. Just heard from our parent club we have 33 only in North TX.
