Thank you so much for all the information included in the threads here. I am a mom to a DS, who is on hold at USMMA, waitlisted at USCGA, accepted at SUNY Maritime and accepted with a 4 year AROTC scholarship to Siena College in upstate NY. This has been an overwhelming experience - as our oldest, he's also our "guinea pig" for the whole college application experience. Add SAs to that and - wow. His first choice is USMMA - he has good credentials but so do all the kids who are applying. I wish we had found this site when he was a sophomore rather than fall of his senior year!
Thanks for everything!!

Welcome, I found this site junior year and it did help considerably. You are here now, read up. If you have any specific questions you do not want to post publicly there are many who would be happy to share their experience, strength and hope via the private message feature.
It sounds like you DS has worked hard and was thorough in the process of his applications. Well done.

Welcome!
It sounds like we have been on a similar learning curve with our first born children. The process is indeed overwhelming!! I am glad to hear your son has a couple of solid choices and wish you/him all the best with USMMA. Similar to your situation, my son has an AFROTC scholarship lined up and is waiting to hear from the USAFA, his dream since 6th grade.
My #2 is dreaming of the Naval Academy. Maybe it will be easier second time around?
