I don't think I've ever started a thread on the Forums, but I saw something in the King Hall Food thread that triggered me...someone posted about liking coffee, but then went on about adding cream and sugar. I didn't want to hijack that thread, so I'll put it here:
1) A coffee order should consist of two syllables --Large Black; anything else is Foo -Foo juice.
2) Coffee mugs don't need to be washed. (I have this stainless steel mug, bought at LL Bean when I was stationed in Brunswick, has sat on my desk for almost 30 years (Navy and Law office). This may be sacrilege to some (particularly the Chiefs Petty Officers I know), but I do a deep clean once a year --bringing it home for 2-3 days over New Years, soaking it in baking soda or Efferdent, so it sparkles like new.
3) Coffee shops (particularly at airports) should have two lines, one for Coffee and one for Foo-Foo juice. Nothing is worse than waiting in line while some millenial snowflake has her order for a petite , soy milk , latte with three pumps of caramel filled.
Just saying !
