Well, my DS completed his BGO interview today. He feels like he did very well and the BGO said that he is a very competitive candidate. The interview lasted about 75 minutes. A 15 minute video, a Q&A session with all of us, and about 45 mins alone with my DS. It took place in our home and I can say all of us were quite nervous. DS held his own and from what I did observe, we were proud of him.
His application is 100% completed, CFA completed at NASS and maxed almost every category, MOC packets 100% completed with confirmations from each MOC Office that the applications are complete. Teacher Recs all in. Only thing left is the DODMERB. Can anyone tell me at what point that should occur? Is it something they generally start in the fall? Is he notified by email or snail mail?
I will say that I am proud of DS that he is on top of everything so quickly. We've never seen him want anything more. He is off to the USCGA this Sunday to attend the AIM program. We encourage him to keep an open mind about that possibility as well.
Thanks!
