Another Nomination Question

I only had a 3.1 in HS and scored under 1100 on the SAT. Sometimes being a little lucky helps a lot and timing can make a difference too. If you happen to apply in a relatively weak year your odds are better.

If I am reading everything correctly here, it seems that I would have the best chance of admission if I apply to both senator and everyone congressmen (5) in my state. That would give me a chance to compete on 7 different slates - Is this possible? I have also heard that sometimes the MOC coordinate their nominations and make sure that no one gets 2 for the same academy.

Thanks again

Yes, send your info to everyone you are able to.
In our state we have the 2 Senators, and I THOUGHT just 1 congressman that DS could send his packets to. Lynpar, I had no clue you could send to more than 1 Congressman!? Omg! Learned something new today!!!
Bill1899, know that every senator and congressman might have different deadlines , and want your info packets presented differently- look at their websights or call their offices to understand it fully. For my DS, one Senator wanted 10 copies of each packet, in folders and required the info presented exactly as described (in the order which they wanted)... but the other Senator had different requirements and wanted less copies and it organized totally different (and the Congressman had different requirements as well). It seems confusing but just do one thing at a time... make sure your packets are as required and you've met the deadlines. And Lynpar is right... make SURE you are close with your high school guidance counselor and that the transcripts have been sent. Call Betty at the USMMA to confirm they have received everything as well... Betty is very sweet and helpful.
Sooooo.... yes, most definitely send your packets to obtain a nomination to ALL of the pollitical figures that you can. Best of luck.:thumb:
