Another PA parent

Hello, we are another PA family. My son applied to AFA and AFROTC. He has a congressional nomination and a nomination from a senator. The waiting is hard! We are not a military family and he is our 4th child to go to college. He did it entirely on his own initiative and it has been quite a learning process. But now as the waiting has drawn out, I found this forum and thought I would join.
 
Hello and Welcome! I am in PA also. I am learning about the many, many layers of waiting through this process! While my DS has made it through the waiting for a nomination, and stalking the mailbox for the appointment, we now find ourselves marking time in a different way...and all of a sudden it is zooming by.
Finding these forums really helped me alot, and I'mm sure it will help you as well.
We have no military experience in our family either, and DS was fully independent in leading himself through the process. There is a lot of wisdom here in the forums and many who are very generous in sharing from every angle.
