Anxiety Dreams - We All Have Them

I've had dreams about my mom. She passed away just over 2 years ago. They have all seemed so real and I always woke up with a feeling that she's letting me know she's OK. I never woke up distressed or sad. Of course made me miss her even more than normally in those moments but it was never a "bad" dream. Netflix has an interesting few episode series called "Surviving Death". Very intriguing!
Yes! Loved it. I actually already posted a trailer above ♥️

Oops - so sorry (I didn't read all of the comments). I know this is veering off topic, but have you ever had a reading done? I think they are hokey but part of me wants to believe them because I do believe in some other "signs". It's just hard not to feel like they are all scams...

Wide receiver. I stand there while the play is run. The QB throws the ball to where I should be but I’m standing there stupefied.
LOL that seems less of a problem than say offensive line.

The Vikings seem to have that happen at left tackle on passing downs.

Yeah, if a left tackle does it it’s worse but probably only coaches, analysts, and the QB getting smeared notice. If the receiver just stands there everyone notices.

Don't know how I missed this one a couple months ago ..the Miscellaneous Boards aren't on my regular scan.

My anxiety dreams come when I am overwhelmed at work...working on too many things at the same time. I have a restless night, thinking about a complicated work issue , then wake up and realize that the issue didn't really exist, but was a combination of all the things I had running around in my mind.

Sometimes I wake up with a start because my CEP is off by a couple of hundred meters, and I have never bombed anything in my life.
It's usually when I'm stressed by work as well.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned dreaming that you are in some type of public venue and all of sudden noticing you are just wearing your underwear (or less).

But if none of you have had one of these dreams, forget I mentioned it... ;)

Ummm. Not I. 🤣🤣🤣

I wake up to an alarm and don't hear any chow calls. Odd, but I don't think much of it. I glance and my watch and realize its 0659-- my alarm was late and I have less than a minute to be at formation. I throw blues on as fast as possible and run out to an already assembled company only to realize that I'm wearing socks, underwear, leather shoes, shirt stays, cover, and blouse... but no pants.

I then wake up in a cold sweat only to realize that my alarm doesn't go off for another hour, and that it is properly set. I really only get this dream when I'm extra-stressed over schoolwork and have a few consecutive nights with only a couple hours of sleep.

I guess this is the USNA version of @FMHS-79 's dream.

I'm running through a miriad of hallways and buildings to get to some sort of advanced math or science class in time for the final. I am, of course, not fully clothed and have not attended said class all semester! The prof usually turns out to be my old high school calculus teacher 😄 For context, my undergrad uni was (is) full of buildings built at the turn of the last century and modified in all sorts of weird ways so only certain stairways went to specific hallways or even floors! The whole uni is also situated on a huge hill, not the easiest to negotiate on crutches in the rain and snow, which is what I used most of my undergrad career. I was constantly late for classes, soaking wet and covered in mud from tumbling down some stupid set of outside stairs or hill. So apparently, that's where I go when feeling stressed!😳

Somehow, veterinary school wasn't nearly as stressful!

I have a re-occurring dream in which I am uncontrollably speeding at 100mph with no brakes. Strangely enough, I never hit anything. It is still very stressful though. My guess is it stems from the truck I drive daily, which has very poor brakes.

This is an old thread but it fits here. Had a terrible nightmare last night. I was admitted to West Point (can you believe it at my age?). I wasn't cutting it and had trouble handling the pressure. Evidently I couldn't read a flight plan and wasn't a team player. I have no idea why I should be able to read a flight plan which was at the heart of it. Plus, I lost my pen and was in big trouble for that. 🙂 Fortunately I awoke before they drummed me out! 😄

Mine usually include me alone in the cockpit during an un-powered descent, without any hydraulic pressure, finding a red tag that says "waiting for parts" dangling from my ejection seat handle, or my wife calling me down the hall yelling "I want you to come and look what you did to this bathroom, this instant!"

AFG. 12km outside the nearest FOB. Working solo.

20 feet from a mobile platform that has work to be done. Nobody's in it. No keys in the ignition.

Lights, horn, and wipers all activate, at the same time.

Then everything goes white, and I wake up.

I have that one, a few times per week.

Builds character...
