I have received two senate nominations and a letter of qualification from West Point. What should I expect? When would I be offered an appointment? Any advice would be great

More than like you will have to wait until March/April to find out if you have an appointment or not. Also, don't forget to apply to your Congressman for a nomination.

Most cases, the "top" applicant gets the appointment. And depends on how competitive your nomination category is West Point won't make a decision after the application deadline . More than likely there will be several qualified candidates among applicants nominated by Senators, so West Point won't do an appointment against Senatorial vacancies until the application deadline is past. Of course, there is a small chance that all nominees complete their application well before the deadline. If so, West Point can make an appointment.

Would you mind disclosing your statistics (as in ACT/GPA/SLS/etc.) because I missed the LOA deadline and am currently waiting for the Congressional Nomination.

ACT: 31
GPA: 92
Went to SLS
4 time state champion in cross country
Started a nonprofit
Play trumpet
President of various clubs
editor of the school political journal

That's pretty competitive stuff, however, it also depends on where you're from. If you come from a state like Wyoming, then your chances for an appt with senatorial nominations might be greater.

Have you also applied for/received a congressional nom from your representative?
