Any appointments yet?

In looking at my son's portal, it shows a green checkmark in a circle. I am unsure how long it has been there. Any ideas?

That's the application page. The check was probably there since he submitted.

The Bears Den has other check marks in the lower right corner.

My son received an email a couple weeks ago that his application would be reviewed in the next two weeks. The CEEB check box is not yet checked.
 
DS's portal looks nothing like the one pictured. Everything was submitted including recommendation letters before 10/15. He has completed DODMERB exams but no information back yet. He only sees this which hasn't changed since he started the process for AIM.

Have him log into his Bear's Den account, scroll to the bottom on the right side of the page. There will be a list of items with check marks if they have been completed. Hope this helps!

I believe bears den and the application portal are two separate things. Attached is the bears den website.

As mentioned, bottom right of Bears Den home page the last item is “CCEB review complete” I don’t think it was ever checked until decision came out, so not the best indicator. My daughter also got the “application will be reviewed in 2 weeks” email, but it was more like 5 weeks from that email up to when the box was checked and she received a decision.

If you click into the application, there’s nothing exciting in there until a decision shows up, then there will be a link to a letter.

For my daughter, she received prior communication on everything. Got conditional appt over the phone from coach, then a week later received an email from admissions that they received her medical qualifications and her portal was updated to full appointment.

I’ve heard some people haven’t received calls or emails, so you can’t know for sure what to expect.

This is what you should look for. The very last thing is the CEEB Review, which I'm assuming is when admissions have actually looked at your file and made a decision. Looking at my status, I noticed that mine hasn't been checked yet, since I submitted my package relatively late.

Who might we talk to since we don't have this checklist on the bears den page? We don't see any checklist at all. Everything was submitted before the deadline for EA.

Same with my DD and no change. She did talk with the coach to catch up the other day, but no appointment yet. Now the USMA is pushing her to get her application completed and interview scheduled.
 
It *seems* a lot of the early announcements last week were tied to a coach or sports team. I'm wondering of those were prioritized further amongst the EA applications.

My son got his application in on 10/10 but didn't have the connections with a coach like others do. Every dad believes their kids have competitive applications but I'd love to know the true holistic factors that go into the schools decision process.

Also possible that student were contacted that aren't on this forum.
