NO!Does this mean USAFA admissions board has not met yet?
I am sure they have been meeting since at least the beginning of the academic year.Just wondering if anyone has received an LOA from USAFA yet. I've seen a couple of LOIs go out so far but haven't seen any LOAs (besides misnaming LOI).

Yeah, it looks like December 21 was the first date for an appointment on this website last year. That seems so far compared to the other SA!If you look at the annual appointment threads, you’ll see the rough percentage of a class that finds SAF and posts here.
Yep...the few we see that aren't athletes...I can't give you a "set of normal for-instance" items...It really seems random. DS1 had a LOA. No idea why. Not a recruited athlete, not a 1600 SAT big brain kid. Not a sought after group. His only real distinguishing characteristic, besides his Ferris Bueller personality, is he is so well rounded he's pointless.
I had to google the saying “as rare as hen's teeth” . I haven’t heard that one before. From an ALO.
LOAs from USAFA are almost as rare as hen's teeth for "normal" candidates. USAFA, from my LONG experience as an ALO, doesn't give out anywhere near the LOAs that USNA/USMA do.
USAFA IS very free with LOAs for "blue chip athletes" though.
ALOs have gnashed their teeth about this for decades..we lose some really excellent candidates to the other SAs when they have LOA's, it's January, and they've heard nothing from USAFA and all their ALO can say is "approximately 80% +/- of appointments to USAFA are made in mid-March..."
And yes, admissions knows about this forum. We have admissions members in this forum. From time to time they will post here with important information for all to see.

I don't think so. LOAs always have conditions such as CFA, DoDMERB, or Nomination, otherwise, it would be an appointment.Congratulations!
That’s awesome.
Quick question, wondering if they waited until DoDMERB is cleared ?
LolDS (non-athlete) received an LOA this morning. Ever seen a middle-aged, overweight, bald man cry...it's not pretty!!
That was a journey, I well recall.Lol
I was in a doctor’s appointment for breathing problems when my son called me to tell me he thought his waiver for colorblindness was approved.
The doctor came in and asked if I was ok because I was crying.
Portal.Congratulations! Just curious...did it show up in their portal or by mail?
Congrats! Are you a recruited athlete?I just received my LOA and all I need is a nomination!! I've applied to all sources and have my MOC interview in December. Soooo exciting!!! Hang in there everyone!!
