I’ve received lots of invites too, but I was offered an appointment. I think they’re just hosting more events and haven’t updated their email lists. Especially since it seems the events are marketed towards seniors and juniors who are considering applying to USCGA.I've received two virtual event invites within the last two days. Any other candidates experiencing that?
maybe they are still considering you for Prep SchoolI've received two virtual event invites within the last two days. Any other candidates experiencing that?
S/he could also receive a full appointment too! I believe that USCGA has until April 15 to make final decisions for prep school and academy offers. Don’t believe you’re rejected until you officially are!maybe they are still considering you for Prep School

Essentially, his/her application was neither accepted nor denied during the last application cycle. S/he applied during early decision, which released all decisions on or before December 23. But USCGA (and every other college, for that matter) typically are not going to reject an ED applicant because that applicant might be more qualified for the school than a regular decision applicant, etc. So being deferred is just pushing the application to the other decision cycle to compare to RD and other uncertain ED applicants because the admissions board is not sure whether to accept or reject the candidate yet. (In summary, it’s just saying “wait! we haven’t decided to accept/reject you yet.”)what does deferred mean?
Ok I didn't realize the Academies did ED. Guess we got in to late for thatEssentially, his/her application was neither accepted nor denied during the last application cycle.
