Any rumors on Cadet BRANCHING timeframe?

That's where I'm standing now... 3.0 GPA, but great stats everywhere else... E at camp, 300 APFTs, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed.

That cadet I mentioned branched Ordinance and completed EOD School, he is doing very well. Funny thing was that he was a Gen Ed student, just seemed to struggle in college. EOD school is no cake walk but he seemed to do just fine and graduate. I guess it helps when your learning something your very interested in.
 
Are the 175 choosing for Med Services all AD or a mixture of AD and reserve forces?

I'm honestly not sure, but I think it would be AD. It didn't specify on the slide deck.

Also, the slide decks don't ever say really where the cutoff is since they've done away with releasing an OML. I wouldn't even want to begin to try and guess where a cutoff is at this point.

Any idea on how many requested AD, but were forced to Reserve Component? (USAR/NG?)
How many were bumped out of AD slots due to Branch/major ADSO's?

Just curious.

I'm not sure, nothing I have states any of that. Someone may hear something after it all gets released, but I doubt anything official gets released.
 
DS called last night - latest he's heard(as of Friday afternoon brief) is that Tuesday, 11/18 is still "the day". Has anyone heard anything else - glad I've been waaay busier at work waiting for this decision to come down!!

Oh, and inspirational saying for today:

Life is not about waiting for the storm to end - its about learning to dance in the rain.

My son rang last evening; the 19th seems to have been penciled in for a meeting with DS and his merry crew of guys and gals. I will post on here when the results are released, good luck everyone.

Glad to hear you DS's school has a plan for distributing information(provided it comes down as anticipated). DS still has no idea how PMS will make information known - they have PT Wednesday morning and LAB Wednesday afternoon or it could be a wild card email to come over to AROTC building....hopfully something will come out to the MSIVs after the actual briefing takes place and is signed off on tomorrow(please let it be signed off on)!!!

It's snowing like crazy, hockey season in full force, my college alma mater is 10-0 this season, "Legs feed the wolf," but I'm still wondering and waiting...
 
My son's not even in the process this year but I'm still excited to hear all the results come in. I can tell you that my son was happily surprised by this years stats the -Bull- posted up. I think it sparked his hope of going AD next year.

We just found out from our PMS that we will find out tomorrow around 1900. From what they were briefed, the results should be published around 1100. Good luck to all those accessing.
 
I am an MSIV in a 7th Brigade School (AROTC). We were originally supposed to have accessions on 13NOV, but it was delayed to tomorrow. Our PMS has told us that he will have the results tomorrow morning and we should know our component/branch by noon. Not sure if this timeline applies to other schools, but wanted to put it out there in case it helps others. Good luck to all my fellow Cadets and to all families!

Five or so inches here in Ohioland too!

Will be thinking of you and your DS as this falls into place. Sending up prayers for early announcement of results and also that each cadet from here on our forums receives their choice or quickly learns about unanswered prayers(google old country songs:wink:)

It is strange in a way I'm almost calm, unlike scholarship boards I know there will be an answer(probably tomorrow or at least this week). The next phase is learning to live with these results. The ride never stops.

"There will be an answer, let it be..."
 
Anyone from 5th BDE here? As usual my little satellite school I go to hears nothing from BN or BDE. I hope we hear everything tomorrow! Lets just hope and pray the Gen. sign off on the results!
