Sharpie can work for swab summer. Half those clothes get tossed at the end of summer anyway, and they do their own laundry from then on so labeling is not quite as vital.

My daughter also just used laundry sharpies. Black for most. White for a few items. Make sure clothes are labeled in the back of the neck, waistband of shorts, and toes of socks. The labeling is only for laundry purposes.

I agree with @StPaulDad and @ProudMom7 It’s natural for us parents to overthink things like labeling clothes. I know I did! I bought a custom ink stamp on Amazon and some iron on labels as well. In hindsight, sharpies or laundry sharpies would’ve been perfectly fine. I think 99.9% of the kids would tell you after swab summer that the manner in which clothes were labeled had little impact on their lives. lol
