Anyone else have to do a BCA test for being overweight?

If I remember right, for someone that is my height (5'10") the most a candidate can weigh is 201 lbs. When I submitted my CFA I weighed 235, but my portal says PASS. I received an email about a week later saying I needed to have a doctor find my BCA. My doctor measured me and filled out the sheet. I emailed it to admissions a few days ago. I was wondering if anyone else did this of if it's an automatic no for an appointment. I have 2 nominations, and 3Q as my portal reads. Application Status: App on File.

Thanks,
Joe W.

Thanks, I read through this and it looks like the limit for body fat percentage is 26 and mine was 29. I wonder if appointed I'll be given time to get into these standards, or be given a sponsorship at a prep school.

Very unlikely you will receive an appointment because the new superintendent is really strict about weight standards. Several mids were disenrolled this year for failing to meet those standards. Not sure about a sponsored prep appointment. Maybe if everything else about your application is really exceptional or if you are a recruited athlete.

Start working on it now! Focus on the measurements, not the weight. Even small changes will make a difference. If you passed the CFA then you should have reasonably good workout habits already. Some people’s bodies are just built in a way that make battling the measurements a way of life. Find an approach that works for you.
