Anyone heard back about RA?

I applied for RA, wondering when we are expected to hear back. I know everyone will hear by April 1, but I'm not sure how backed up they are with applications and how quickly they go through them. This wait has been nerve-racking so far.

Thanks

The wait IS killer! If you look back at previous years it is usually very late in February or early March when people start posting acceptances on here! I want to say last year the first ara post came around March 9th or something!

Although there may be some exceptions, in a normal year the RA decisions usually do not start to come out until March. The applications will be read in the order they were received, but admissions still will be comparing all the applicants against each other. They will also be considering which applicants are the best fit out of all those who applied RA as well as those who were deferred from EA. There will certainly be some applicants who admissions will consider a "definite yes" or a "definite no", but overall USCGA will be trying to determine which highly qualified applicants best fit in the remaining slots available for both USCGA and the Scholars program.

I would count on hearing March 31st. And if you hear before that, even better. I know the waiting is really tough and I won't be that person who tells you not to be glued to the computer waiting for updates. It's very hard not to be. Good luck! Hoping you hear some good news. :)
