Anyone Still Waiting to Hear?

So strange ... DS still waiting for 3/4. He does not have any nomination to 2/3. By now, He should gotten a couple of TWE’s.

Same here, I did not receive a nomination to USNA or USAFA, but I have not gotten a TWE from either school or anything in the portal.

That’s a lot of waiting! Good luck! Something has to come out of all those holds. Does he have a clear A, B and C choice? Does he feel ready to accept should all offer appointments?

He is in another country as a foreign exchange student his senior year. When he left, he had a clear #1 in mind and that #1 seemed to be his best chance as he is being recruited as an athlete there as well.
Over his time there, and realization that he is competitive at the other SAs as well, he is open to the other Academies as well, and I am pretty sure, if he ends up with options that his #1 has changed....but I am not trying to get in his business and just let him decide(if he has any options at all?)
Only time will tell, worst case scenario, he goes to our state’s university ROTC and reapplies next year.
Emails from the Coach recently have been very encouraging...he says that my DS is on the athletes top 10 list and that they will just now start pulling hold candidates from that list (after April 1). Says he expects good news this week or next....

He took a four year Army ROTC Scholarship to Loyola in Chicago and absolutely loved it there. He is now a second lieutenant and Ranger qualified officer- he is very happy. My third son DID get into USNA and is a plebe. He is also very happy. My fourth son is still waiting!! UGH

Fantastic!! I also have a Plebe DS. Maybe they know each other! Our third son will begin the process soon when the cycle for ‘24 begins!! Last go around...I’m getting too old for this [emoji23]
 
Talk about being disappointed...DS 4 Noms (senator, congressional, presidential and ROTC) just received his no thank you email. His senator is no longer in office. It's ok.... He's got his NROTC scholarship. As he said, he's glad the Congressional academy boards, hiS BGO, the NROTC and his host school saw him for his worth and not what is just on a piece of paper. He's both disappointed and not. His academy advisor would not answer him as to why he wasn't chosen. Just said to reapply. At least he made it until April. Sigh.

Sorry for you DS. Too bad he put in all that hard work and couldn’t get any feedback to improve his package. Understand USNA doesn’t owe that, but these kids put in so much more work than on any other college application, it would be a nice touch to provide something back to work on for those interested in having another go at it.

It is crazy to hear that! Good Luck in NROTC! He will persevere! Did he get the email tonight?

Wow that’s surprising. So sorry to hear. I wish you could have received feedback. Sounds like there wasn’t anything to improve except for aging one more year.
