Anyone with a 3Q?

They will get a 3Q letter, that is why I’m wondering if anyone has gotten one.
I don't know if everyone gets a letter. I know DS is med qualified and passed CFA at SLE. There's no way to possibly know whether he's academically qualified, but his stats are pretty good. I guess there is no way to know.

Speaking with my friends, they got the letter on their portal under official correspondence with the other PDFs

Everyone does NOT get the letter. Not sure the rhyme or reason to it...but just keep an eye on your green check marks, as those are what really matters. Get you file done early, prep for your interviews, and enjoy your senior year.

3Q = physically (CFA) , academically (class standing, GPA, etc.) and medically (DoDMERB)

My DD received her 3Q status on her portal and never received an actual letter. She also had a LOA that was acknowledged by the Admissions Officer of Recruited Athletes. The LOA did not show up on her portal.

Dad of 2, where was it listed on her portal?

Candidates get 3Q letters in November and don't get appointments while other candidates never receive a 3Q letter and get an appointment in January. Don't obsess over the 3Q, it is not an indicator of a future appointment.

I don't know how it works. DS has outstanding GPA and SAT. No letter.
The qualifying process that the RCs go through can take a couple of weeks. Your son's file may be going through the process right now.
But, you can ask your FFR, if you want to know now.

If they complete a 3Q letter it will be included in your official correspondence on the portal and may show up in the mail as well. My DD received one her first year and did not get an appointment. She did not receive one her second try and received an appointment.

Do not stress about things you cannot control. An honest assessment of your application and a discussion with your FFR can give you a pretty good idea of your chances of an appointment.

There are/were several tabs on the portal. One of those tabs indicated she had been 3Q'd.
