For the current high school Juniors when does the rest of our application open up?
 
Last year, DS' portal opened up July 2 -- which was R-Day for Cof2016.

Unless notified otherwise, you can expect similar timing around July 1.
 
It really all depends, my portal this year did not open until a couple of weeks after the Summer Leadership Seminar around the end of July. This may change this year since they have removed rolling admissions.
 
Class 2018 Apps

If you attend SLE this year you have the opportunity to open a file take the CFA. Usually after the dust settles from R-Day about a week or two you can start your file. Be flexible things are not exact due to down sizing and budget adjustments.

On my portal is says
"--- Initial Evaluation Pending ---

** This evaluation will not begin until July 25, 2013 at the earliest for most candidates to USMA 2018.**"
 
Same here DDixon.

I don't mind as it gives me more time to get things done and have my application filled out by the time it opens.
 
Class of 2018 Applicants

What seemed to be some what difficult for my DS was getting his teachers to complete their SOE. They're busy with class and other student stuff. But stay on them.

A recommendation for all the 2018ers - to help yourself out, know you are going to need an English, math, and chemistry/physics SOE and know once your senior year starts, everyone else will need letters of recommendation. Ask your teachers before you leave this summer if 1) they'd be willing to write you a recommendation, and 2) if you could get their summertime contact information so you can send it as soon as the portal opens. That should help you get the application completed faster and before the rush of all the other seniors.
