I have a tough choice to make concerning my application. I got a 29 on my ACT this spring without really studying at all and I know that with a llittle bit of studying i can get a higher score. Unfortunatly, the next ACT is in November and i can send in my Application to USMA in late August. I've heard that it is quite benefical to send in your application as soon as possible and that your chances of gaining admission will be much higher if you do. So my question to you guys is do u think i should send in my 29 and have the admissions board look at my application ASAP when there are much more spots for the class of 2014 or should i wait until i take the November ACT and potentially have a higher test score?

Why not send it in and take the next ACT. If you score higher on the next ACT call and ask them to update your profile. Im sending in my app soon and will be taking the SAT at every chance that I can get after that. I imagine that you and I are not the only kids that are doing this. Hope this helps!

I would definitely recommend sending in your existing scores now. As long as you are asking ACT to submit your scores automatically, USMA will update your file as new information is received. And FYI, USMA will use your highest individual subject scores from across testing dates, so it will never hurt you to submit new scores even if some are lower than the first time you took it. :thumb: (Be sure you are having all these automatically sent to the nominating sources as well. It will save time when it comes to submitting the paperwork!).
