I have a question! My packet is finally completed I have all my green checks marked including two nominations. I’ve applied for my congressional ones as well but I am still awaiting for to see what happens with those! I’m just getting so anxious now that it’s done.

Now you wait. Could be for a very long time.

Seriously, try and not obsess over this. Enjoy your senior year, friends and family. It’s a nice relief to be done!! Good luck!!

Are you working on Plan B, C, D and so on? Are you maintaining a rigorous fitness regimen to prepare you for Plebe Summer should you get offer of appointment? Are you enjoying senior year and savoring the final months of high school with family and friends? Those are the most important things at this point.

Tend to your alternate plans.
Stay healthy.
Work out. Run and run. Core stuff. Harden your legs.
Avoid bad decisions and senioritis, but enjoy the here and now with friends and family.
Be the best kid you know how to be to your parents, because you may have just over 7 months left at home. You won’t live there again except for visits.

Other than all the above. Run, Run, Run. Great advice from MJ. It is a killer at USNA (humidity), USAFA (altitude) and USMA (Hills}. Just walking up to the football stadium at USMA is a killer. You can take a brake and say hello to the Army Mules on the way up.

@Capt MJ You just brought tears to my eyes. DS found out at the end of May he was appointed to USNA. To say those four weeks went fast is an understatement. Congrats @remington5432 on the completion of your application. Breathe and enjoy the quiet. Focus on other applications (plan B) and wait - it could be a very long wait, or not. And run, run, run. My DS can attest that running daily while waiting for his appointment made it that much better to get through plebe summer.

Please and I will emphasize please do not fixate on the waiting. I checked my portal multiple times a day last year for months and lost countless hours of sleep over a decision that was at the time out of my control. Enjoy your senior year and your time with your family.

Take time to enjoy time with your friends and family in addition to all the advice above. Have fun your senior year. My DD who is a plebe was so grateful for the time she took to solidify new friendships and repair a few old ones that had drifted away. Those are now are biggest cheerleaders, as she is theirs. Many speak of the friendships that bond you at USMA, which is true, but those you have built over a lifetime also help keep you grounded and centered. She has since told me that devoting that time and energy to people she cares about instead of worrying was the best choice she made. Good luck!!!

And now your watch begins...
It is a marathon not a spring. You may hear nothing until late April.
What do you do? You keep faith. Other people will receive appointments, keep clear in your head that it has nothing to do with you or your possibilities of an appointment. Other people will get LOAs, it means nothing.
Did you apply to Army ROTC? Is that done? Do you have other great schools to which you have wrapped up your application?
If all the college stuff is done: work out, enjoy time with your family, pets, and friends, and finish strong for your senior year.
Mostly, keep faith. It is a long game.
