So I just sent in my SAT scores last week and on collegeboard it says they sent the scores last friday yet as of today my application is still not updated.

I'm honestly not to worried about making it, but i just want to know approximately how long does it take for them to update my scores so i can make plans if i didnt make the SLE.

actually, I emailed the admissions team and they said you had to send in your SAT scores from college board. i sent mine in last monday (March 20) but as of today my profile is still not updated. do you know when they will update it?

Are you sure that the admissions team was talking about SLE? They may have been talking about the actual admission process to receive an appointment at the academy. For that you do need to send in your scores. For SLE I'm almost certain that you can just self report. My friend self reported his ACT scores and he has been accepted, he never sent in his scores. It may be different for the SAT, but I highly doubt it.

I'm fairly certain it was about the SLE program because I included in my email that I was talking about the SLE. Also, my SAT scores have not appeared on my profile tab which is also why I'm fairly certain you had to send your official SAT scores from college board. What I'm really asking is how long they usually takes to view and update my SAT score that I just sent to them.

I'm not sure how long it will take, sorry. For now you can simply enter in your scores in the boxes.

You can find it under the Application Update tab.

When I go to my profile, the only test it has "Official Academic Scores" for is my PSAT. I never sent my PSAT scores or any of my other test scores to the academy so I'm not sure why my PSAT scores are official, based of what it says on the left they shouldn't be. My friend also took the PSAT, so maybe that was what they used to determine his acceptance. Maybe you are right and we do have to send our ACT/SAT scores in. But one would think that they would explicitly state that typing our scores in the boxes is meaningless and that we actually have to send our scores in.

I have taken two ACT tests and had ACT send my official score report to West Point both times. My scores do not show up in the profile, just like you. About a month ago I was accepted to SLE. My guess is that they won't acknowledge those "official" score until the full application opens up this summer.

In regards to SLE, I just self reported my scores in the boxes like the portal said and received my acceptance.

right, except i'm a little worried because my psat scores were extremely low and I'm hoping that my sat scores (2160, 1490 combined) will get me in. that's why I'm so concerned that west point receives my sat scores prior to their deciding of whether or not i will be able to do the SLE. if they do not update by april 1st (deadline for SLE app) do you think i should email them about my predicament?

Did you happen to also take the PSAT? It seems like PSAT scores are automatically being sent to WP for some reason(mine were).

That is very strange. My PSAT scores are listed as official when I never sent them in to WP. I wonder why.

Mine are listed as official too, as I'm sure everybody else as well. You never sent them to West Point, but self reported them like everybody else. They're listed as official, I assume, because the most official they'll ever get is what you self report.

Actually come to think of it I have recently been receiving a lot of mail from schools advertising their National Merit scholarships that I didn't receive prior to getting my PSAT scores back. PSAT scores are the basis for national merit, so I'm guessing my scores(and yours) were released somehow. I think when we took the test there was some box we could check regarding receiving mail from colleges and junk, and I'm guessing when we checked that box we gave them the right to give our scores to colleges.

I provided a link in a previous post. All of your assumptions (right and wrong) are covered on that page, and I advise you to read it.

Have you self reported your SAT scores? That is all they will look at for SLE from everything I have heard. "Official" scores are not yet part of the process. Best of luck, and hope to see you at SLE!

i did self report my scores. i just emailed them this morning about whether they received my sat scores and they said that they're still waiting to get it because apparently college board sends the scores through the mail.
