My daughter is filling out the Candidates Activities Record portion of the application. In the part that asks about sports, clubs etc.. all there are are drop downs for the grades of years of participation, team captain, varsity letter, and special awards. Does she list all her sport and club achievements (ie All County, 3200 Meter champion, President of a club, etc....) in the Remarks section? They only allow 2000 characters which doesn't seem like alot. Just curious how she should handle this since leadership, sports and extracurriculars are so important. Thanks.

Yes, your daughter should include details of her activities in the remarks. However, a good hint would be to list all the leadership positions first since that catches the eye of the admissions board first. Then, you can put the other gravy below. 2000 characters is plenty, trust me, I had about 20 different bulleted items in the remarks section and there were still much allowance for more if needed.

By the way, I have completed all portions of the application dealing directly with USNA, (Candidate data, ECAs, Math+English Recommendation, Academic recommendation and HS transcript). Your daughter is competing directly against me! Good luck to her.
