Application Steps/Dodmets

Can someone please tell me the appropriate steps in application process? Does CGA notify my DS as to when he needs to get his medical done? Or is he to begin this process by contacting DOD? I would assume that it would be a waste of money if all applicants got medically cleared prior to a conditional appointment. But I thought I read somewhere that there is a deadline. I just want to make sure I understand the steps. I did see another check mark in DS application status this morning. Application in review process. Exciting!
 
If your son is considered a strong candidate Admissions will send his information to DODMERB. He will get an email from DODMERB with instructions on setting up an online profile and also a profile with DODMETS who is responsible for assigning the providers with whom the applicant will make the appointments.

Nothing for your son to do at this point except keep an eye on his email. Be sure to check spam folders.
 
My DS did not receive an email, he received his instructions for DODMERB through regular Usps mail.
 
So should be have already received this by now if he is considered a strong candidate or is late February and not hearing anything a bad sign?
 
I have no idea. We are new to this process. My DS received his DODMERB Feb. 3rd.
We did get an email last week stating they are on rolling appointments.
What you are seeing on the status of his app is what we saw weeks ago prior to receiving the DODMERB.
