Applied for Ike Skelton ROTC scholarship thru National Process

If I get the Ike skelton scholarship do I get to choose which school to apply it to? I got into Marion Military Institute already and that's the school I would like to go if I go the ECP route.

And also, are most of these scholarships awarded in the first board? Will they be awarded at the same time as the 4 and 3 yr scholarships? Or slightly after? I am anxiously waiting haha

My son got the Ike Skelton and it allows him to choose which of the 4 schools to rank in order. He is only interested in VFMC, which is only about an hour away.

He has been accepted at a couple of 4 year schools, but wanted either WP or VF and then the follow along ROTC school.

Question though, do you want active duty? and what branch? my son wants AD and Branch FI, MI or Cyber.

Active or reserves will be fine. I wanna do quarter master or ordinance. And do you think they are still awarding ECPs right now? Or all of them from the 1st board are out? By the way, when was your son notified?

If your son is interested in Active Duty I would recommend he reconsider his choice of the Ike Skelton Scholarship. If he accepts the scholarship the odds are very high that he will remain in the Guard/Reserves.
