I applied Sunday and what I think could have happened is I accidentally checked yes for the sports questionnaire, so when the sports questionnaire popped up I hit to exit the application page. I assumed that since it had said my application was complete then I did not need to fill out the questionnaire if I did not actually mean to. My other possibility in mind was perhaps the bot or automated system to send out confirmation emails is backed up or down because of gov't shutdown; unlikely but possible I assume.

I'm just generally assuming from a quick google search that they still send out confirmation emails when you submit your applications since that's common practice. Should I resubmit my application if I don't receive one like a day or two from now since the government isn't shutdown anymore? Or should I just call admissions tomorrow and ask them about it

Call admissions and ask. You are correct that you should have gotten a confirmation email if it went through.

Alrighty will do, probably should have just planned to do that in the first place before posting but I got a little more stressed out about it than I should have been

That can happen when you really care about doing something :)
