Apply for appointment package?

Hello, I received my appointment a couple of weeks ago, but I also applied to USAFA and USNA (my #1 choice). I haven’t heard back from them yet and was wondering if I should fill out the form to have my appointment sent to me or if that would negatively impact my USNA decision as the academies can see if you’ve accepted another appointment from another academy correct? Thank you!

You can accept and later decline any SA appointment, if you choose.

The SAs fully expect many applicants will apply to other SAs, ROTC scholarship programs, Ivies, back-up schools, etc. They offer more appointments than they know will be accepted. Bottom line, they want you to go to the place that feels right to you.

The SA application systems all operate independently, no insight into anything else the candidate is doing.

Receiving your appointment package doesn't require you to accept your appointment. I believe there is a box to check say you intend to accept or are unsure. You don't have to make any decisions until May 1.
