Just a quick question, I'm fairly new to the whole process of the Coast Guard Academy. I'm a Junior in high school.
Since the Academy doesn't require a congressional nomination, does the Academy pay attention to the states that the applicants are coming from?
For example if you have 2 candidates with above average, but not stellar qualifications, but one is from Florida and the other is from Kansas (or some state that doesn't typically go to the CGA), is the Kansas one more likely to be accepted?
