I was not able to find out where to enter measurements for the uniform, so I called the uniform office at the Academy. The person I spoke to assured me that they would take the uniform measurements when they get there for BCT, so they only need the t-shirt sizes now. You can only enter the t-shirt size in the portal, but page 5 in the Appointee Handbook indicates that you must enter uniform measurements, as well. This is incorrect. Just FYI!

Question about the security clearance form. My DS has never been employed. Does he just leave this section blank or does he have to account for the unemployment? He just turned 18 two months ago, and the form states not to list employment before his 18th birthday unless to provide a minimum of 2 years employment history. However, he has none. I'd appreciate any advice. Thank!

Good afternoon everyone,
Our DS is certain that he completed the appointee kit thoroughly. However, when click on "review application", the next page indicates "99%" complete on the left side of page. Does anyone have any idea to look for possible errors or areas in the kit that he might have missed? Thanh you in advance!

The last 1% is submitting it. It won’t let you advance to the review stage/submit if any fields are left blank etc.

Does anyone have access to SF-600 or any other items mentioned in the handbook that comes after completing the appointee kit?

Looks like we do not need it for now. The admin team said it was accidentally left in the packing list so it should be fine not to have it.

I requested the gov. purchased airline ticket and received my flight itinerary via email today. Does anyone know if I need to do anything with this information right now? The email is very vague an unclear of next steps. The subject of the email starts with "pending unpurchased travel... requires approval" But if you look in the email and the ticket status(es) they both say "Status: Confirmed" At this point, I cant tell if I am supposed to be on those airplanes right now. Now, I'll be honest, I never have booked a flight for myself before, so I am genuinely confused if I need to be doing something or just waiting for a boarding pass to be emailed to me... I dont know.

If tou have concerns if the ticket is complete, log on to the airline website and put in the reservation number. Usually, check in starts 24 hours before the flight. You can select or change your seat at that time.

If you have questions or concerns about the Appointee Kit please post them here. If we group them all together maybe admissions will see it and fix all this confusing language and errors on the kit.

I believe that it has not came out yet, only a few who are the test subjects to make sure everything is working correctly.

The appointee kit has only been released to 5 test cases. The kit is being completely redesigned this year. Expect a release NLT 1 Apr, but hopefully by 20 Mar.

I'm not sure which is allowed, but I took the original and left a copy at home. IMO, your DD/DS is starting their adult life, and it's time to start handling their own important documents. I have a little file organizer with all my important documents locked in my lock-drawer, so there are secure places here to keep them!

That being said, I'll let someone else answer your question.

I ordered a new org birth certificate and social security card for my DS to take. You can do both online with a fee. Figured best way for him to have org as well as one for me for "safe" keeping.

Additional pro tip: save a copy of the special order to report. Perhaps 5-10 copies.
