You can pack any colored underwear. During BCT, their laundry goes in personal laundry bags and gets boiled. It then comes back in that same laundry bag. I think the idea of the white being preferable stems from two things (only personally guessing). 1. If all clothes are white, there won't be any color bleed on others' clothes. Except there will be. Any white underwear you send with be disgustingly dingy by the end of BCT. 2. There is one uniform where having light underwear probably matters, and that is the parade uniform with the white pants. Your doolie won't even get a parade uniform until the end of doolie year. So having at least one pair of "lightish" underwear is necessary by spring. I personally think from a modesty standpoint during basic, the colored underwear will be more opaque. Having his BCT underwear all white is not necessary, and not checked. Don't spend a ton of money on whatever you choose, as it will be boiled.
 
Do sports bras have to be all white? And should we buy cheaper ones for BCT so they do not get destroyed, or will they be fine?
 
I've heard same response regarding the white underwear. No one checks, but they will be boiled, color bleeding can occur. I would go with something comfortable, but fairly cheap as many trash their undergarments after BCT and want new because of how gross they are at the end.

We will prewash undergarments in hot to reduce the color bleeding and take into account any shrinking and make sure they are still a comfortable fit. We're going with solid white, gray, and black compression shorts for DS.

Will say while I've heard the same thing keep in mind our shirts are white. Any there's 100% chance at some point water will come in contact with the shirts. I'm personally buying white for the bras. Nudes were said to be fine too. Just no hot pink, greens or neons.

You will be doing a lot of physical training during BCT so make sure that they are supportive enough for running and other rigorous training. You might want to replace them afterwards but you don't want to go cheap.

These actually do have to be white or nude so they're not visible through the white PT shirts. Like others have said, they need to be supportive and reliably comfortable, but they will be boiled, so keep that in mind when purchasing.
 
How do we combine medical records if they are from multiple different sources? I have vaccines from my doctor, CVS, and Walgreens and you can only submit 2 documents. Should I scan them all into one combined pdf?
 
Also, how do I get the flu shot for this year if CVS and Walgreens have stopped giving this years? Can I wait until I-day to get it?

You can but my doc had the flu shot still. My doc also had a paper with all my vaccines from all sources.

You can. But, if you can find one now, it'll save you from having a sore arm for the first few days of BCT. Perhaps check with your regular doctor?

I am going to ask them again. The last time I asked they said no to polio and Tdap vaccines and said I should be able to get the flu shot from the health department with those. Hopefully now I can get only the flu shot.
 
We took vaccine records from Sam's and cvs to our Dr and they added them to his official record for their office so it's all 1 document
 
I have a question about the vaccines. I filled out that I need to get Polio and TDAP, which gave me prescriptions for both, but I can’t get them until June. Should I upload a pdf of my shot record as it stands right now? How will they know that I received the vaccines? I am pretty sure we need to bring a hard copy of the shot record to I-Day, but I wanted to know if I can submit my shot record right now as it stands.

How are you adding the 9-digit code onto the colored underwear? I tried paint pens last night and finally found one that showed up pretty well, although I couldn't get 9 digits into a 1.5"-wide space. I'm assuming that's not a huge issue if the code is bigger than that. I'm washing them now to see how they stand up, but maybe I'll wash them again in hot water.
