Hey yall,

1. Is it possible to complete this behemoth security clearance questionnaire online? I keep seeing literature throughout the instructions suggesting it could be done online, but I am not sure. If this is possible, please let me know, as it would save so much time! Silly me printed it out...

--Sideline, if anyone has general advice on how to complete this thing, it would be much appreciated. There's a lot of questions in here that I just do not know the answers to, and there are equally as many question I am unsure if I am supposed to even answer. A "practical guide for appointees" would be nice. I will do some excess searching after this post, but if anyone can link a thread with advice, that'd be cool, too.

2. If I request to have the government buy a plane ticket for me, what happens once I arrive in Colorado Springs? Surely the timeline would not line up perfectly that I could get off the plane and show up to USAFA at the appropriate reporting time? Lets say the only flight available for me lands the night before? Then what?

3. In regards to the hygiene products, what size am I looking to bring? Obviously there are TSA guidelines, but I am more asking, how long will I be using these products for before I can buy more?

The SF-86 is a rite of passage for all going into the military. Yes, you will eventually have online access.

 
My memory is printing up that behemoth and sitting at the kitchen counter while my son went through page by page. I needed to provide names and addresses of neighbors and references for him. Luckily, there was many a page that were N/A-- He was required to bring that form to I Day. Once at the academy they used it to enter the information online. That was two years ago. It may have changed, but I doubt it.
 
I‘m filling it out using adobe acrobat which seems to be fine. I have a printed blank one just in case but I have not found anything that says I can’t fill it out online then print.
