Was sitting in my home office today when our Congressman called with the news that my son had obtained an appointment. I was elated, but was caught off guard as I assumed that we were all waiting for the news to come in the first week of March. So, just be ready for that call--it could come any time. Thanks all for your help.

Congratulations! Does your DS's on-line status reflect anything yet?
 
It'll still say your a candidate for a week or two. I was notified on Satudrday Jan & and it changed the next Friday, when I got the appointment packet. You should be expecting that in about a week or two.

Congratulations! Now that DS has his nom we are on pins and needles, watching the mailman and checking the web site. Now we know to listen for the phone, too!:rolleyes: Thanks for the heads-up!
 
jassen2: thanks for the congrats. We are in 4th district of KY; still hard to believe. Best of luck to all--I guess one just doesn't know from when or where the hoped for news will come!!
