For those of you who have gone through the EA admission process, does USCGA offer appointments that are "conditional" upon passing the medical exam? Or do you need to have the medical exam completed (and passed / no waiver needed) before the academy will offer an appointment? I didn't see anything on the USCGA webpage that clearly stated this information. Thank you!

USCGA does not consider medical status when deciding whether or not to offer an appointment. If your fear is that you think you might need a medical waiver, join the club. My DS coach told us that Upward’s of 60% of appointments last year needed medical waivers. Don’t quote me on exact percentage I could be a little off but definitely in that range. The process can be long and frustrating but is there for a reason and it works. Trust the process.
