I believe the correct term is "scholastically" qualified, not "academically" qualified.

Being scholastically qualified includes academics.

That makes sense. So what is considered scholastically qualified?

Pima, when did the USAF give up all of its helo pilots???
Hee Hee.... They didn't. I see them every day here in wyoming circling missile convoys. Then there's the one's I worked with the PJ's.

I know it's FIGHTERS; Cargo; Bombers; Gliders; UAV; Simulators; RC Mattel; and then Helo's. But they are there. LOL!!! :thumb:

lol indeed. For awhile there I was pondering V-22s (though I have a feeling the helo purists will start a witch hunt for me). Unlike Army where there are various helo missions, ours are pretty much only SAR, VIP transport, and a bus for missile SF.

The way that I interpret this is that the majority of the appointments have been decided, not all mailed out.

According to the Instructions to Candidates Booklet, the majority of appointments will have been made by mid-March, so the time table for being notified should be between then and early April and TWEs in May.

If you want to be the guy fishing fliers out of AK waters, you know it is CGA.
Or you could go AF Guard, as they fly HH-60Gs out of Elmendorf. When I was there two summers ago, they had a sign that said they had made 70 saves that year. I made a compliment about that and the pilot showing us around said something like, "70? Oh, that's out of date."
