Appointment status found in portal???

So I just read in another thread where a candidate saw their appointment in the portal before BFE arrived. Can someone tell me where this is?? Is it the application page from USNA.edu?? My son is candidate from the fleet so we are not clear on how he will be informed. Thank you

Most fleet candidates find out from their Chain of Commands. Usually the Fleet Coordinator will contact their CO and let them tell the good news usually. That isn't to say he won't hear from the portal, a letter, the fleet coordinator, or any other way you read on hear. Not sure on the portal piece.

USNA Application Portal will not show appointment status. Other service academies' portals (USAFA) do reflect appointments, so you may have read this in another Academy thread.

Sorry - that was me using the word appointment when I meant nomination. Just being sloppy - apologize for the confusion. DS's portal did not change in any way when he received his LOA and appointment.
