How long after being awarded either an ROTC Scholarship or Service Academy Award do you report for your DODMERB?

You get your packet 1-2 weeks after the appointment is made.
You get told where to schedule and you make the appointments. Then you enter them on the website.
You have 45 days from notification to register the appointments.

So after receiving your Award, your DODMERB packet comes within 1-2 weeks?

For XROTC, DoDMERB packets are sent out after the scholarship is awarded.

For Service Academy candidates, the DoDMERB process begins after you are identified as a competitive applicant, usually triggered after completing a certain number of steps of the application. My DS had his DoDMERB done well before receiving a TWE from USNA.

The DoDMERB is good for two years as Army ROTC used the same DoDMERB for my DS.

That is up to you. You call the providers named in your packet and see what they have available.
It could be as early as the next day if your availability lines up with the providers, or it could be weeks later.

So I'm guessing that since my son was already medically cleared by Dodmerb for USNA that he won't have to go through it again for the NROTC scholarship?

DoDMERB is good for two years and can cross service branches as well.

In 2015, my DS passed DoDMERB when he applied for USNA, but received a TWE. His plan C used the same DoDMERB to validate his Army scholarship.
