Appointment to Class of 2015

We were Early Action round 1...am assuming the others will be at least 2 weeks behind given the deadline to submit materials???

Yes, my daughter was in the first Early Action group.
 
Did your dd/ds get their application in early? Or was it closer to the early action I deadline?

I'm just trying to get a feel of when mine might be coming. :biggrin:
 
We got the application itself in early online but all the essays and supplemental info did not get there until the week of the 15th....if that helps...

Hang in there...
 
I understood it that it was 5 groups for Early Action Group 1. We had our package in by Oct. 15th..... hope that helps. :smile:
 
DS --- Early Action Group 1: Appointment FedEx envelope was on the porch when he got home from school today. Very excited here in Florida!
 
Oh man, I don't know if we can stalk the mail lady AND the FedEx guy. If admissions decides to add UPS to the mix I'm gonna have to hire more help...

Oops!! It was a Priority USPS envelope --big cardboard thing. The shock of getting this so soon has gotten me frazzled!
 
My daughter participated in AIM & got all of her required info turned in for EA1 on 10/10.
 
Congrats,

However, do not become discouraged if your BFE does not arrive as quickly as some of your future shipmates. I was denied last year from early action and my application was resubmitted during regular admission. I received my appointment the Friday after Easter Sunday. It is a long process and just gets more agonizing once people receive their appointments and yours does not come. All I can say is enjoy your senior year and let admissions worry about your appointment.
 
EA Appointments

My daughter didn't participate in AIM and she also submitted the packet the week of Oct. 15.
 
After waiting for my mailman in the cold for about an hour, I finally get my mail and what do I get from the CGA, but a postcard encouraging me to visit:eek:...and so ends another unsuccessful day of mailman stalking :confused:
 
Thanks for the encouragement, officer. Though I can't imagine why you think I would need it - it's not like I'm one of those crazy parents who checks the forums 20 times a day, drives all the way home from work in the middle of the day just to check the mail, or any of those kinds of things!:smile: (Oh wait, as I recall your posts from last year, YOU were one of us too!!:shake:

And JennaG, I sure hope you get your BFE; your stress is personal!

Jenna: Our daughter took a chair out and sat in the culdesac reading her book until the mail arrived. Nice catalogs.. no BFEs. Take heart - you are not alone.

My DD received the same postcard. UGH! She didn't get her app in 'til EA2, so we weren't really expecting anything, but it was still frustrating! Just wanted to let you know we feel your pain. :bang:
 
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who got the postcard from the CGA instead of what I was hoping for...Good luck to all of you today who will be stalking the mailman. I know I will be bundled up outside my mailbox for a while here in cold NJ...:thumb:

Swimmer, we are in NJ also, and today got another postcard! Only this one was for the Coast Guard Reserve?????? Are they trying to tell us something????
