Hey guys,

I've had my LOA for a few months and just checked online to see that my nomination finally went through. :biggrin:

How long does it take for that to become an appointment?

Last year our son received an LOA letter dated November 10, received the first of his two congressional nominations on November 30 and his appointment letter was dated December 21 (it was a very Merry Christmas!).

LOA dated 10/18. 3noms entered into AFA system on 12/10. BFE today but was from Columbia. Still waiting to see status change to APPOINTMENT OFFERED. Was assured appointment would be coming soon.
 
As I recall our son's application status changes to "appointment offered" about a week or two before we received the BFE, so watch your application status. That's probably where you'll learn the good news first.

By the way...congratulations!
 
sons portal says application complete still - yesterday we received a phone call from our congressman congratulating our ds on getting an appointment. apparently usafa likes to let the congressperson or senator be the one to tell you. we are waiting for the portal to change before we post on the appointment thread but you might get a phone call first from the congressman!!
 
I don't care how I get appointed I just want it now :yllol:! Anxiety is going to be the death of me!

However, on a more serious note... Congrats to all who have recieved there appointments and good luck to those still waiting!

For my DD it was 7 weeks after her noms , (LOA) 3 months. Her BFE came today.
 
Yeah, for me I had an LOA in early Nov., a nom. in mid Nov. that showed up on the portal mid Dec., then both my status changed and BFE today:biggrin: I think they were backed up over the holidays, so stuff should start going through quicker now.
