I hope you mean you won an appointment from a nomination from Sen Lieberman.
Senators and Representatives nominate. Only the President can appoint.

Actually, USNA offers the appointments based on nominations from MOCs, the President, etc. Many mids may never know the source of their appointment, unless they receive a principal nom from only one source. And, in the end, it really doesn't matter as long as you have that appointment in hand.

I guess we should say - Candidate are selected for appointments by USNA - technically they are appointed by the President.

About 2 weeks ago I received a letter saying I earned one of Lieberman's 10 nominations, and this past monday a rep from the senator's office called my house and notified my family that I received an appointment to the naval academy
on the dodmerb website it says:

Bs are okay...just try not to show too steep a downward trend over the next semester...
