I do know one candidate who received his rejection letter last week. I thought he had a great chance of appointment, either through MOC slot or national pool - 33 ACT, Eagle Scout, Varsity team captain, All-State sport honors......... It must be a very competitive pool this year.

@horsecountry That just means your child is still in the running. What is it like a 50-60% chance for 3Q with a nom? Settle in for the wait.

@DrMom - you are 100 % correct and if i could i would I am very thankful for all the great info and support from you guys. I'm a typical parent - if it was me i would be fine, but with one of the littles it's tougher.
thank goodness USMA is not having the same issue the USMMA is. My son got a "your app was not finished and is now closed--try again next year" (paraphrase). He's panicked of course thinking he didn't finish the app some how. Checked the forum and numerous peeps have the same on their portal--some that have already been accepted. Some glitch they think and uSMMA is without power and admin is closed for weather. ahh good times
