Yes, it does. For many it is disappointing each week to see more and more candidates receive appointments while you are waiting to be notified--for months.
Again, nothing to do but wait and work on your other plans.

Plan B is likely set.
There is a sadness that comes from a level of achievement that leads to an LOA and waiting each week as the other students in your class without your academic record get MIT, USMA, University of Chicago, Cornell, etc.
While others are getting their appointments. Knowing that you scored at the top in everything you had control over since 7th grade.
After getting an LOA ... and waiting ... the thought becomes I wasn’t good enough for a waiver this year, I can’t improve my record next year. And then ... it’s a two way street - fine, they don’t want me.
Then the thought - why did they give me the LOA? Why get my hopes up?
The candidate they select over my son will be well
qualified. And Plan b will be a great life.
What is a QNS?Happened to my DS last year. He kept waiting and waiting and waiting, while hearing nothing, and then finally got a QNS in late April. It is a very hard process to go through when you are waiting.

It's definitely NOT a high school student, just impersonating one - here's a previous post by this poster:@Saralee Sometimes I worry that you aren't actually a high school student applying to USMA because of the nature of your questions and lack of additional information as to where else you are applying and the other commissioning sources to which you are applying like Army ROTC.
There is no second round. Now, we have entered what you can think of as Admissions Season. Typically, from here on out, each week, the admissions board will meet, make decisions, and a handful of new people will update the appointment thread. In April, you will see more appointments--but there is unlikely to be another big announcement.
This will continue until around 1 May, then it will be ones or twos.
Hope that helps.

My son already completed every single thing on application for West Point, turned in everything for nomination from senator, we are from Texas when should we hear something? Also he received a letter from West Point that said he was scoring real good in everything but they wanted him to redo the physical part and resubmit and they wanted it to be better than last time, he improved a lot resubmitted the video and now we wait, but how long do we wait before we hear something?
Read through the history. Where does she say she is the student?
I posted one above. If they share an account, then they both need remedial English classes.I spent all the time I care to on this ... I have found several where she talks about her son. Nothing where she claims to be the kid.
And ... maybe they share an account?
