    Good Morning-
So, it is April 1st--and you (or your son or daughter) are still Schrodinger's Cadet (maybe/maybe not).
April can be a long month--do not lose faith and do not lose your mind. The only certainty is that you will hear something in the next 30 days.

It may seem as if everyone else is adding posting the good news on the acceptance thread. It may seem like the class of 2022 is full and there is no room for you. However, this is not the case. There is still a lot of scrambling in these last four plus weeks---and even into early May.

There are no magic tea leaves that can predict your outcome. Keep working out as if you are starting at West Point in fewer than 90 days, enjoy these last momentous events in high school (Prom, Graduation) or wherever you are in college or out in the Army. Keep working your other awesome plan to do Army ROTC at a great school or a year of prep school or to attend one of those other service academies.

Stay cool while you wait. It is not easy. Know that all of us are with you in spirit.

I don’t mean to be nosy, but what was your Plan B?

@Oldcorps and @C76706340 -- hang tight. my guy did not find out until like 24 April last year--really--a long stretch of nothing--but awesome other plans--including your current plan C767, which is a great school and a great AROTC program--you would be well served there, too--although maybe the money is hard, esp for out of state. However, VMI on an Army ROTC is hardly a Plan B. It is maybe a Plan A- or a Second Plan A.

These next three or four weeks can seem very long. Stay busy, stay focused on the working out, and enjoy some improved spring weather. :tank:

That's funny. i thought it would make a little heart. ....

Hey! I agree DrMom. Some slates haven't even been resolved, including mine so the wait is still on. Good luck!

I agree as well, time is passing slower than usual here in SC. We are not seeing much movement, not sure if it’s good news or not but so far no TWE. We decided to take a week long vacation over spring break to break up the wait, hopefully when we return we will have more information. It’s interesting even with a fantastic plan B , we are still anxious about the decision. That being said, our son is cool as s cucumber patiently waiting. I guess we did something right

We are in same boat- also hoping a short vacation would occupy our minds! Right before we left last week, another candidate in our district announced he was offered prep school. I kept hoping DS would receive a positive call from MOC or a portal change with good news. We will continue thinking positively and anxiously while our son as well remains patient- no news is good news for now!

So is it definate that not all slates have been resolved, I don't think anyone from our district has been appointed, but really have no idea for sure. Just anxiously waiting.

It is so difficult for sure! I don’t think anyone has heard in our NJ district, which is the only thing keeping me going. I thought I would have major foot surgery to keep my mind occupied. I hear pain is a great substitute . Thank you Dr. Mom for the encouraging words.

As we get further into April and closer to deadlines for great colleges, scholarships, and opportunities, it gets harder to wait for a response. Even harder when we have little to no communication from RC or USMA.

District 2. It doesn’t seem like there are many from NJ that are on this site, so it’s hard to tell if things are progressing. I’m thinking you are from North Jersey. Good luck to you.

Central Jersey here District 6, I know of someone who got recruited for track. Would this mean our slate is resolved or is there still a chance I get in as well? I mean this question is assuming she got a congressional nomination and not one from another source. I know she was aware of her appointment in November 2017 which was before my congressman even held interviews for noms.

I know of someone who got recruited as well, but I don’t believe it influences the numbers at all. The young man I know is graduating this year. He had heard in October before our congressional board even met.

@WestPointBound Do not psych yourself out worrying about other young men and women from your district who have already received appointments. A few years ago four kids in my #3 Son's high school were all accepted to USNA. It does not matter. You cannot game it that way, you will only make yourself unhappy. It seems as if there is a rule set--and if you understood the rules, you can determine that the spaces are full and your left without one--but it is not that simple. If you are still waiting, then you are still in the game. These next few weeks can be challenging. It is not uncommon to hear NOTHING from your RC or Admissions. Keep working out, keep doing your school work. Stay busy. Keep those endorphins going to help you move through the additional stress of it now being April and the clock still ticking. Promise you will get through this. What is your other great plan for next year?
Best of luck. Everyone here is with you in spirit. You can write in as much as you like and we can keep saying, "hang in there kid."

As much as I'd love to bore you with my whole back up plan and all that, I'd rather let you know that my wait is over!!!!! I got an appointment today as of 10:36. I got an email from my Congressman's office.

Consider it your solemn duty to educate the rest of the corps as to the value of Springsteen!
    Congrats and well done.
