April is a great month!

I'm from a town in South Carolina called Aiken. We currently have about 5 or 6 midshipman up there... trying to carry on the tradition...

Our USNA journey has ended (Foundation referral) but I wish all of you waiting the best. My son will meet up with you in 4 years when he joins the fleet from USMMA. I am hoping the blue folder comes ASAP
 
There is a big chance many notifications will be sent out tomorrow - its Saturday!

There is only one Thurday left before April 15.

My apologies if this is a dumb question, but do you mean they could be SENT out tomorrow or could ARRIVE tomorrow? Just curious. Can't wait! Thanks

Most apointees that I talked to claims they received their "item" on a Saturday.
"Item" meaning letter or folder.
So be prepared!
 
Good, that's what I was hoping you would say. Is it possible to receive a folder in the mail before a DODMerb change, a phone call or anything, just out of the blue?

Yes, I can remember getting my scholastically Q'd letter on a Saturday in November.

Yes, it is very possible to receive one before the Admission Status Date of DoDMERB changes.
A phone call can be before or after you will receive a folder, usually, it is before.
 
My son received his scholastic notification in December but knew he was medically and athletically qualified last fall. Today he received a letter from the DODMERB, indicating that his examination was reviewed and evaluated, and he is qualified for USNA and US Marine ROTC. He has already been notified that he has a Marine ROTC scholarship. Is this just paperwork as a result of the ROTC scholarship or is it a result of a USNA BOA review?
 
Congratulations on your son's Foundation referral! The son of my son's football coach was a Foundation kid and, after a year post-grad, made it into the USNA; he graduated last May and is in SEAL training. I wish your son all the best!!!!!
 
I was thinking maybe I haven't gotten some kind of call because both of my nominating sources (Congressman Tom Tancredo and Senator Salazar) are no longer in office. Hopefully this means something good will come tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone

My son is from Chandler, AZ, and still waiting to hear. It's nice to see someone else from AZ on this forum. Good Luck and hopefully all this waiting will bring good news.
