April is a great month!

Mailman brought nothing but bills, junk mail, and college info today here in Blue Bell, PA
 
Our BGO just called. My son is at community college. BGO asked if son could call him on his cell phone later.

My wife asked if there any news. "I would like to talk to (son)" was the reply.

My wife reads it as a negative. She thinks the BGO wants to explain the reasons.

Do BGOs call with good news?
 
Mybe not bad news.....maybe BGO just wants your son to be the first to know....be hopefull!
 
All BGOs are different on how they wish to respond on certain decisions.

It seems that my DoDmerb status for Naval Academy still hasn't changed. I am getting really worried considering my Regional Director has the decision result for my application on the palm of his hand...

Regional Director said I should expect to get something in the next few days. No idea what that something is.
 
gbo3, I believe the board is running behind. I asked my RD about the permit to report packages and he said they will be sent out later because they are a little behind so she may not be waitlisted.
 
Mailman didn't bring anything here in Northern New Jersey either!

we can only hope! I know of only one appointment in our state so hopefully they are running behind.

That explains why the decision for my application was yesterday (Wednesday).
I guess the board is doing more meetings.

That must be the case, we heard from a number of kids that were eliminated yesterday. They had just heard on Wednesday that they were still in the game.
 
Sorry, my days have run together.

Tuesday, they were good. Wednesday they were not!

Question: I called the academy today just to see what theyd say, and the guy didn't give me any answer or hint to my decision, are they allowed to or no? He just told me I would find out very, very soon...

They can , but I don't think the academy recommends it.
You will find out in a couple of days anyways, probably tomorrow.
If you really want to know, try contacting your Regional Director.
 
Nothing here in Denver today as well. But did get full AFROTC scholarship to University of Colo/Boulder Engineering and School of Mines! Here Here for a good backup plan!
