Are remedials common?

My son has 3 remedials to complete (2 administrative, 1 medical). We have to provide copies of records from age 10 to present and fill out the allergies questionnaire. When he took initial exam, the doctor forgot to note his pulse rate on the form...that has already been taken care of. Like most of you, I'm sure, my son is "healthy as a horse," so we were a little surprised to receive the letter. Was just wondering, how common is it to have to do remedials?

Probably about 2/3's of all applicants require at least one remedial. The majority of the remedials are all administrative, usually a questionnaire or medical records.
